Santa's Favorite Story / Aoki, Hisako

The forest animals are alarmed when it appears that Santa might be too tired to make his Christmas rounds, until he recounts for them the Nativity story which gives the holiday its true significance.

Will Christmas be canceled this year? Santa feels too tired to deliver all his heavy presents and the forest animals are alarmed! Does this mean there won't be a Christmas anymore? But then Santa tells them his favorite story - the story of the very first Christmas when Christ was born in Bethlehem. Joyously, the animals discover the true meaning of the holiday. How silly they were to think Christmas was only about presents! And if everyone pitches in to help Santa, it just may be a very special Christmas Day indeed.
