Julie, Lucy, and Alia decide to take an African folk dance class, in addition to their ballet and modern dance classes, but find their extracurricular activities getting in the way at school and at home and must figure out how to balance them if they want to continue to dance.

Julie, Lucie, and Alia's dance class is accepted into a national competition, but when their teacher gets sick, it is up to Lucie to choreograph a ballet for the competition.

Julie, Lucy, and Alia participate in a dance competition in Paris.

Best friends Julie, Lucy, and Alia all share a love of dance, a "frenemy" named Carla, and an interest in an attractive hip-hop dance instructor named KT, and as the girls prepare for the ballet "Sleeping Beauty," they would love to have KT play the prince.
