Based on the Mabinogion, a collection of medieval Welsh tales, as well as later legends, tells of family members and servants important in the life of King Arthur, featuring Nimue, Morgan le Fay, Luned, and Mordred.
Mordred, the son of the incestuous tryst between King Arthur and his sister Morgause, becomes his father's counselor after years hidden from court and eventually finds himself battling Arthur to the death.
Under King Arthur's reign, Kiera--daughter of Lady Alayna--is abducted by knights who leave their barn burning and their only servant dead, and Alayna travels to Camelot to entreat Mordred to help resuce her.
