Thirteen-year-old hockey goalie Rallo wants desparately to make the St. Sebastian team and go to the 14U National Bantam Tournament, but there are other contenders, and one of them is a hulking fourteen-year-old bully who is willing to do anything to sabotage rivals, including arranging "accidents," but Rollo has an unexpected ally in Mr. Fairbank, the manager of the rink, and Sawchuk, Mr. Fairbank's dog.
