Having just awakened from a vision of the farthest future and terrified by what he saw, Fuuta and Rune know they have to work fast to complete their spirit journey and see their last two past lives. Grasping the spirit circles in hand, Fuuta and Kouko journey once more, and are shocked to find they have swapped genders.

Fuuta, though he has seen one past life of his after another, still has unanswered questions. The biggest mystery is what started him and Kouko and their spirits on their mutual path of bloodshed and sorrow in the first place. The next answer to the mystery comes from a place Fuuta totally never suspected.

Kouko and Fuuta find that they are bound together by seven lives-worth of fate, and must travel together through time to discover their shared history across ancient Egypt, South America, medieval Europe, and beyond, uncovering truth after astonishing truth.

Kouko's spirit circle causes Fuuta to witness two significant deaths. Then, a circle kept safe for him leads Fuuta to revisit past lives, leading him to untangle his fate.

Other than his ability to see dead people, Fuuta Okeya is a perfectly normal junior high school student who falls in love with the new transfer student Kouko Ishigami. However, when she discovers the strange birthmark Fuuta is hiding behind a bandage on his cheek, she declares him her mortal enemy, and the mystery of both their birthmarks is underway.
