As Rimuru continues to care for Shizu's students, he works to find a way to harness their unstable magical energy. He enlists the help of powerful elemental spirits, however their fairy queen could be a problem.

When the nations of Tempest and Eurazania send delegates to each other to improve trade relations, the delegation from Eurazania is taken aback by Rimuru. He will need to find a way to get on their good side if the two nations want to foster a friendship between them.

After being defeated and humiliated by Milim, the Demon Lord Carrion's follower Phobio is seething. That is perfect for Footman and Tear of the Moderate Harlequin Alliance's plans--they can use Phobio's anger to summon the grand beast Charybdis. Soon Rimuru learns Chardybdis has come to life, and she is heading straight for Tempest.

Milim, now a resident of Tempest, has set off a chain of destructive events, beginning with the entrance of a rival demon lord's servants. After defeating the Orc Lord, Rimuru becomes chancellor of the Jura Forest Alliance, gaining more companions than ever. His rising profile gains the attention of more powerful enemies, however--like the Dwarf King Gazel and the ancient Demon Lord, Milim Nava.

Disaster strikes after Rimuru and his group defeat an orc army as they now must face the dreadful Gelmud and the Orc Lord himself, who, with Gelmud's help, transforms into his strongest form--the Orc Disaster.

Treyni the dryad, protector of the Great Forest of Jura, asks Rimuru to fight the Orc Lord and his 200,000-strong army of orcs before they can destroy her woodland home. To do so, Rimuru will need help--but the only help around are the lizardmen, and after Rimuru's last clash with one of their leaders they might not look so kindly on him.

After battling the Conqueror of Flames, Rimuru earns new, incredible skills that will aid him in his ongoing quest to improve the lives of his subordinates. A distress call brings him and his companions into battle with a crushing crew of ogres who have a score to settle with Rimuru and the residents of the goblin village.

Rimuru and his friends were trying to find craftsmen in the Dwarven Kingdom, but they become caught in a trial where they are forbidden from defending themselves--that's because their accuser is the Dwarven King himself. Their adventure also puts them in the path of Shizu, a demure and mysterious woman who makes a special connection with Rimuru, but may also be hiding a dangerous power inside her.

Rimaru takes on the mask of his long-lost friend Shizu, and in an effort to bridge the gap between the land of the monster and the land of humans, Rimaru take his Shizu mask and take care of the orphans Shizu managed. But his Shizu mask is that of a young lady and Rimaru manages to make enemies before he has a chance to help the children.
