Youme

A homeless boy on the streets of Haiti joins other street children, and together they build a home and a radio station where they can care for themselves and for other homeless children.

Relates the true story of Laotian American artist Malichansouk Kouanchao, who enjoyed her early childhood playing in the wilderness until civil war forced her family to leave for another country, allowing her to bring only her memories of her homeland.

Youme describes her unique collaboration with artist Anthony Horton, which began as the two traveled together on the New York subway system.
