Fifth-grader Cody Ross considers himself a champion at soccer--video-game soccer, that is--but now that his parents have taken away his toys and insisted that he join a team he is finding out that he has a lot to learn about soccer, teamwork and friendship.

Junior is surprised to find out he made the local traveling baseball team, but when he learns why he was chosen, he is not sure that he wants to play ball on this team, even if it is bringing him closer to his father.

Sixth-grader Drew Howard is frustrated and planning to quit the team, because now that he is playing organized football he can not seem to throw a good pass--but a new boy, Tyler Wade, forces him to realize that quitting is not the answer to his problems.
