A young girl named Chang dreams of growing up to become a widldlife conservationist, ignoring people who warn her that it wouldn't be a good career. Out in the jungle, Chang meets Sorya, a timid little sun bear who has been captured and then escaped, but has adopted domesticated habits. Chang determines to return Sorya to her rightful place in the wild.
