Max, a teen born a girl who considers himself a trans boy, finds out that his family descends from a long line of "Magical Girls" chosen to protect the world from the ancient evil of Devoid and his minions. The seal holding Devoid out of the world has cracked, and if Max does not become a "Magical Boy" to stop him, the world is doomed.
