Seven-year-old J.C. is excited about the class field trip to the Famous Black Americans Museum, especially since his dad is coming along--and when his group gets separated from their teacher in the crowded museum it is J.C. who remembers the map their teacher showed them, and reunites the groups.

J.C. is excited to join the new baseball team at the community center and show off his pitching skills, but his enthusiasm turns to disappointment when Vicky is chosen to take the mound first.

When J.C. helps his mom do the laundry, he adds too much detergent causing suds to overflow, but thankfully, he knows who to ask for assistance.

J.C. is going to the Spring Flower Festival with his grandparents and little sister, and he is worried that he will not get home in time to join his best friends Amir and Vicky at the zoo.
