Avid mystery reader Claudia Lin works in New York City for the online dating platform Veracity which prides itself on showcasing accurate client portrayals. When one of her clients is found dead of an apparent suicide, Claudia is suspicious and begins investigating. Her search uncovers a conspiracy, which she tries to tease apart amidst dealing with her dysfunctional Chinese American family.
