When thirteen-year-old Reanna's older sister Chelsea goes missing on her way home from school, each member of their Ojibwe family grieves her loss in a different way and struggles to find closure. Reanna's mother flees the reservation and its memories, and Reanna and her brother Theo go to live with their father.
