Blood and gold, or, The story of Marius

Marius, once mentor to The Vampire Lestat, tells the story of his two-thousand-year existence from his mortal life in Imperial Rome, to his servitude to the King and Queen of vampires, through the fall of Rome, the Renaissance, and on to the dawn of the twenty-first century which finds him seeking justice from some of the world's oldest vampires.
