Night draws near

American journalist Anthony Shadid examines the lives of ordinary Iraqi citizens since the American invasion in 2003. Draws on Iraqi history and travels throughout the Arab world to provide a broad perspective on Iraq and the effects of the invasion and the fall of Saddam. Also examines the lives of individuals such as a poor widow, a Baghdad psychiatrist, and an artist.
