The blue edge of midnight

Ex-cop Max Freeman, having chosen a solitary existence on the edge of the Florida Everglades after killing a twelve-year-old in self-defense, is drawn back into the world of violence when he discovers the corpse of a child and must find the killer in order to clear himself of suspicion.
