Private investigator Jane Kelly is hired by Violet Purcell, who is the prime suspect in her ex-husband's murder, so Jane and her pug, Binky, set out to prove Violet's innocence and find the real killer, which turns out to be a bigger problem than Jane imagined when new suspects turn up at every turn.
