The Whitechapel conspiracy

Superintendent Thomas Pitt, relieved of his Bow Street command after he unwittingly offends the powerful and secretive Inner Circle with his testimony against accused murderer John Adinett, is reassigned to the Special Branch in the dangerous Whitechapel slum, where his further investigation of Adinett leads to a deadly conspiracy.
