At the end of her last year of compulsory education, sixteen-year-old Shiraz resigns herself to life in her gritty London suburb, serving fried eggs at Mr. Yolk and dating plumber-in-training Wesley, until she receives high marks in her examinations and decides to enroll in her school's "Center of Excellence" program.
