Beast and the Halloween horror

Beast, assigned to write a letter to the author of a Halloween story Ms. Rooney read to the class, makes up a lie about how much he enjoyed the book rather than admit he was not listening, so he is horrified to learn that the author is coming to visit Polk Street School and is especially interested in meeting Beast.
