Community rules and laws

Children identify the rules they follow at home, at school and in the community. Describes how rules and laws protect people's safety, health and property as well as the environment. Discusses the roles of elected officials, town councils and town meetings in running a community and creating laws. Shows how police officers enforce laws and judges determine how a person should be punished for breaking a law.
