The rescue

Robert Weston, having left London in 1811 for the peace of the countryside, is amazed to find himself hustled into marriage after Anne Gardiner slips from a ladder into his arms and her father believes she has been compromised, but he comes to understand that she was trying to protect his reputation from her unstable parent, and the newlyweds soon find themselves drawn to each other and trusting God for love to grow.
