Astonish me

In 1975 American ballet dancer helps Soviet ballet star Arslan Rusakov defect. A passionate love affair follows, but its wick burns short. Joan marries another man and quits ballet, but ballet doesn't quit her as her son, Harry, shows himself to be a prodigy. Harry's talent, inevitably, brings Joan back into Arslan's sphere.
