While seeking out the vampire Sarren to keep him from harming her creator, Kanin, Allison is led to the town of her birth. As her search intensifies, she ends up uncovering evidence that the Red Lung virus, deadly to both humans and vampires, has reemerged, and that if it is left unchecked, it could prove the doom of both species.
