From the first airborne camera in 1858 to 1959 when we saw our world for the first time from 19,500 miles from America's spacecraft Explorer VI- and now from successive Apollo space flights- the camera has brought us a new conception and understanding of the universe. Airviews are valuable in many fields of endeavor- scientific and in business- and have an aesthetic value that is only now becoming appreciated. There are over 100 photographs and rare prints in this book.
