Hime Kino dreams of becoming a voice actor and working alongside her hero, Sakura Aoyama, on the "Lovely Blazers" anime. She is accepted into the prestigious Holly Academy's voice actor department, but her gruff voice quickly earns scorn from her teachers and classmates. Hime is determined not to let them squash her dreams, but Senri Kudo, Sakura Aoyama's grouchy son, is Hime's classmate and one of her worst critics.
