When everything feels like the movies

Gay teen Jude Rothesay, nicknamed Judy by his classmates because of his penchant for wearing his mother's dresses and makeup, faces constant bullying and deals with it by viewing life as a movie. Jude and his friend Angela also skip school, drink, do drugs, and cut themselves to cope. Just when Jude decides to leave town for good, tragedy strikes.
