In 1886, when the son of respected New York architect John Cross finds himself deeply in debt to a notorious gang that rules the underworld of the city, his father must help the gang pull off a robbery with his intimate knowledge of the city's mansions and museums. But as Cross's skills become more valuable to the gang, his life hangs in a delicate balance.
