Life, liberty and the pursuit of murder

Abigail Lawrence, a tavern mistress in 1777 New Jersey, enters a shadowy and dangerous world of spies and traitors when she attempts to solve the murder of a man she found impaled on a sword in her establishment before the British use the incident as an excuse to take over her property.
