The sundown rule

When animal-lover Louise's dad goes on assignment to Brazil, she goes to live with her aunt and uncle in the suburbs. But when her cat is killed by a car, a crow is shot by a neighbor, and her dad gets really sick and might not come home, Louise's love of living things is sorely tested.
