The twelve members of the Jedi Council on Coruscant handle problems in the galaxy and try to protect the future of the Republic. When a Jedi Outpost is to be decommissioned on the planet Kwenn, Qui-Gon Jinn challenges the Council about the Order's isolation and Mace Windu suggests all twelve Jedi Masters embark on a goodwill tour to promote the mission of the Jedi. However, in the absence of the Jedi, warring pirate factions unite and try to assassinate the Council members. Now cut off from Coruscant, the Jedi Masters face a grave crisis.
