Mermaids Shelly and Echo are excited to begin third grade at the prestigious Trident Academy, but snooty Pearl, jokester Rocky, brilliant Kiki, grumpy Mr. Fangtooth, and an argument over their first project challenge the best friends. Includes facts about marine plants and animals and words to the Mermaid Tales Song.

Echo and Kiki help Shelly prepare for the arrival of her royal great-aunt, Queen Edwina.

When a shark is spotted in Trident City, third-grade mergirl Pearl is terrified. Then to make matters worse, Pearl's special necklace goes missing. Pearl accuses another mergirl, Kiki, of stealing her necklace and says mean things about Kiki to get her in trouble. Only when Pearl has a dangerous encounter with a shark, does she see the value of her friend.

When third-grader Shelly Siren finds out she is a real princess she starts to wonder if she should act differently.

While preparing for a unit on storytelling, the mermaids of Trident Academy learn of a legendary pirate treasure in their own city and Pearl decides to find it, despite a warning that it is guarded by a ghost.

Pearl has always dreamed of being famous, so when she finds out that her third-grade class is performing "The Little Human, " she just knows she'll get the leading role, until she discovers it's been given to her friend Wanda.

Longing for a sea horse of her own after learning that a classmate from Trident Academy has one, Echo Reef becomes involved in a local debate about whether or not domesticated sea horses can be happy.

Wanting to help a lost baby polar bear return home, Kiki Coral and her mermaid friends worry that the cost of the bear's transportation will prevent them from seeing a concert performance of their favorite boy band.

Mermaid Echo is doing tail flips because she's going to see her favorite under-the-sea band, the Rays, but they are performing for Pearl's birthday party and everyone at Trident Academy is invited except Echo's best friend Shelly.
