Inu-Yasha / Takahashi, Rumiko

Inuyasha continues to question Goryomaru's allegiance to Naraku, while Kagura is injured during an attack on the temple.

Kagome's divided loyalties could keep her from helping Kikyo heal from Naraku's miasma; Naraku takes control of Kohaku and orders him to abduct baby Hakudoshi; and a showdown is imminent when Naraku arrives at the demon bird's nest.

Kagome is an ordinary modern schoolgirl thrust into an adventure when a dried-up well at her family's shrine turns out to be a gateway to Japan's ancient past. Kagome battles demons for control of a powerful magical gem, the Shikon Jewel. With the help of the half demon Inuyasha, they embark on a quest to recover the shards of the Shikon Jewel and discover more about Kagome's link to the past in this black-and-white graphic novel.

Nakaru, having tricked Inu-Yasha and Kikyo into nearly killing each other fifty years earlier, is after Inu-Yasha again, using the wolf-demon Royakan as his pawn; while Kikyo, revived from death, is forced to steal the souls of young girls to survive.

Inu-yasha must find a way to defeat a monstrous half-man, half-machine enemy and rescue Kagome, Miroku, and Sango, who have taken refuge in the evil Renkotsu's temple.

Kagura tries to convince Sesshomaru to help her eliminate Naraku by offering him the Sacred Jewel shard taken from Koga; however, when Inuyasha attempts to retrieve the shard, the new moon almost reveals his secret.

Kagome, Inu-Yasha, and their companions run afoul of the Peach Man, who gains power from the Shikon Jewel and plans to make them into dinner. Then they find a village of warriors dedicated to fighting the demons created by the Jewel.

Kagome, a young school girl from modern-day Japan, gets pulled into a time portal and transported back to feudal Japan where she discovers that her destiny is linked to that of Inu-Yasha, a doglike half-demon, and together, they search for the Shikon Jewel which can fulfull the dreams of any man or monster.
