Major Dirk Pitt is called to Greece to investigate the sabotage of a National Underwater Marine Agency mission to find a fish with links to the prehistoric era, and discovers a web of conspiracy involving drug smuggling, a beautiful woman, and a vengeful Nazi war criminal.
