Missing pieces

Eighth-graders Amy and Tasha make a vow to get to know outsiders at their school, and when other students mysteriously begin losing their talents--the quarterback losing his throw, the top sprinter losing her speed--one of those outsiders, Chris, gets the blame, leading Amy to investigate.
