Heart's desire

Hallie Palmer is persuaded by her legal guardian Bernard to return home to Cosgrove, Ohio, after her first year of college to take up her job as groundskeeper and help him win back his lover Gil who is considering marriage, and her own problems take a backseat when she is drawn into the further dramas of Bernard's eccentric mother, her party-girl sister, and an ex-boyfriend.
