Past crimes

Ros, widowed when her policeman husband is murdered, moves with her baby back to her parents' home in Palm Springs, but the violence seems to follow her, and she soon begins to wonder whether a series of strange dreams in which she is a member of a Jewish family during the Spanish Inquisition could hold clues to what is going on in her life.
