Southern California painter Maggie Donovan, having witnessed a demon kill her ex-boyfriend, begins developing mysterious powers after she is exposed to magic dust and is convinced by warrior Culhane and pixie Bezel to use her new abilities to save the Otherworld by fighting the evil Faery queen.
