College dropout Jeremy Stroeb is forced to accept responsibility for his teenage sister, Elise, after his parents--Rachel, an accountant, and Daniel, a controversial professor--are murdered, and hoping to learn the reason for the killings, Jeremy takes a job at his mother's firm and begins to realize his parents were not the people he thought they were.
