While Gabriel Stanton attempts to diagnose a new, terrifying disease, Chel Manu comes into possession of artifacts that suggest the true reason the Mayan civilization vanished so quickly. Soon, these two realize their situations are connected, and as December 21, 2012 approaches, they realize they must work together to prevent the end of the world.
