Dr. Thomas Mason's normal life is turned upside-down one night when a mysterious young woman is brought into the Emergency Room where he is working. Before Thomas knows it, he is being chased by strange creatures and the U.S. government, and then, suddenly, he is on a different Earth than his own, with no apparent way to get home.
