Hans Christian Andersen's Thumbelina

Gerta is amazed to see a tiny girl emerging from a magical flower and adopts the small maiden, naming her Thumbelina, but while Gerta sleeps a strange creature steals Thumbelina, leaving her alone in the forest and dependant on the aid of the forest animals to find her way home again.
