I kill giants

Fifth grader Barbara Thorson has a sharp tongue, no friends, and says she is a giant killer. It is her way of dealing with the problems in her life, particularly her mother's terminal cancer, but her insistence that the giants are coming threatens the relationships she has wanted for so long.
