The bird people of planet Ejie

Rayk, a guide to the Near-Star Planets, a small solar system discovered by his father, takes Judge Clair, his daughter Jan, and their friend Prof Quill to investigate Quill's claims that he has discovered the lost tribe of birdmen on the planet Ejie, and while the birdmen are welcoming, the party soon learns they will not be allowed toleave.
