The blood guard

Out of nowhere, thirteen-year-old Ronan Truelove's mom snatches him out of school, and before he knows it he is in a car chase and being told that his nerdy dad has been kidnapped--and the whopper, that his mother is part of an ancient order known as the Blood Guard, who are sworn to protect the thirty-six noble and righteous souls on Earth who must survive, or else the Earth is doomed. Now Ronan must take his place in the order, or perish.
