Cooperative learning in middle-level schools

Middle-level students have important emotional, social, intellectual, and physical needs that set them apart from elementary or high school students. Middle-level educators are often looking for ways to meet these needs while addressing the academic requirements. The "middle school concept" places a premium on the development of the affective needs as well as the intellectual needs of early adolescents.
