Winter of the world

Follows five families as they struggle through the economic, political, and social difficulties presented during the mid-twentieth century, beginning with the rise of the Third Reich and proceeding through the beginning of the Cold War. Along the way, the families find their lives intertwined and gain additional perspective on the defining moments of their era.
