Eight cousins, or, The aunt-hill

Rose Campbell, orphaned at thirteen, goes to live with her aunts Peace and Plenty while awaiting the return of her guardian, Uncle Alec, from abroad, and the lonely, sickly girl is soon swept up in the adventures of her seven lively boy cousins, and influenced by the cheerful attitude of Phebe, a young housemaid.
