Twenty-two-year-old Josh Flynn knows instinctively that his life is about to change when he sees three women, along with two young children, arrive at Nantucket airport, and as the summer progresses, he becomes the glue that holds things together as Vicki struggles with cancer, her sister Brenda deals with a career-ending scandal, and their friend Melanie comes to grips with a cheating husband and an unexpected pregnancy.
