Love on assignment

Charlotte Hale, a secretary for a local newspaper in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1900, is given the chance to prove herself as a reporter when her boss asks her to go undercover as a governess to investigate a scandal about Daniel Wilmont, a young, widowed religion professor who writes a controversial column in a rival paper, but she begins to have qualms when she discovers Daniel to be honorable, sincere, and easy to love.
